SuperBowl Ads

The SuperBowl is the largest advertising day of the year. More money is spent on advertising this coming Sunday than any other day of the year. Which begs the question; how many of the SuperBowl commercials will have mention of Facebook or Twitter?
My guess is somewhere around 70%... What do you think?
I will follow up next week with the answer.

"Like" Button on T-Pain

Wow... OMG... WTF... LMFAO... LOL...
These are all words (really acronyms) for what I think about T-Pains new tattoo. As you can see, T-Pain has put a "Like" button on his body.
Zuckerberg, you have done it, celebrities are tattooing themselves with your creation. It is beyond me why T-Pain would do this, but I only have one question:
"DO YOU THINK THE BUTTON IS CLICKABLE?"

A Short Documentary About Facebook [VIDEO]
A short documentary on peoples thoughts on Facebook. The video was uploaded to YouTube in March of 2007, so it's a bit old. But a good look into what CONSUMERS think Facebook is.
I would like to do a follow up and ask businesses/brands/celebrities how they use Facebook and how they would define the social network.
How do you define Facebook for your business?

Facebook Ad of the Week

This weeks Facebook Ad of the Week focuses on incorporating a Facebook event into your ad unit. As you can see from the image of the ad, it says "RSVP to this event" and has a small image of a calendar. This lets the Facebook user know they can add this event to their calendar.
In the case of this ad, the Suicide Pistols are playing at Emo's. When you click the ad, users arrive at the EVENT PAGE. Here users can RSVP to event, talk with other fans on the message board, post video links or article links.
Using Facebook Ads to promote an event can be a fantastic way to get people to RSVP and commit to attending an event. Plus, friends will see other friends are attending and the word can spread quickly!
Let us know your success stories. Do you have an ad that should be featured in the Facebook Ad of the week? Send inquiries to tyler@coffinmediaworks.com

Facebook Jokes
First full work week in 2011 is done and we'll finish it with something that should put a smile on your face. John Stewart has a comedic look at Facebooks privacy issues with users and compares it to Facebooks own issues with keeping their finances private.
