SNL Take on Time Person of the Year

SNL did a parody of Mark Zuckerburg and Julian Assange. I have to say, SNL nailed it! Quality jokes! "I think we all can agree, that's an algorithm for fun!"

Facebook Ad of The Week

Facebook Ad of The Week is back, and has a philanthropic angle this week. Small Business Saturday, by American Express. Cause related fundraisers are a great way to attract new fans.

For Small Business Saturday on November 27th, 2010, AMEX set up a fan page as the hub of this marketing promotion. For every person who became a fan of their fan page, they would donate $1 to Girls Inc. As you can from the ad above, the copy makes it clear, all you have to do is become a fan and a donation has been made for you.

The ad also clicks through to the Facebook Page and the landing page is fantastic. The copy of the landing basically states again, a $1 donation will be made for every fan.

The campaign is over and here are the results:
-Total Fans: 1,189,740
-Total Donation: $1,000,000 to Girls Inc.
Not to mention all the fantastic awareness AMEX brought to small businesses across the country on that Saturday!
