National Bagel Day (Free Bagels)


Once again, Noah's Bagels is getting into the social media game by promoting their buy one bagel, get one free National Bagel Day campaign. I feel they both hit and missed the target with this campaign. Use this link to see Noah's Bagels Fan Page.

1. They hit the bulls-eye by rewarding all their fans by giving them a buy one get one free bagel. I would call this great incentive to be a fan of Noah's. One fan even commented saying "I love, love, love the offers! Keep 'em coming!"

2. They missed the bulls-eye by only posting a link to a coupon print out. This leave little room for any viral effect of the campaign. I can only imagine, Noah's would like to leverage give-aways like this into more Fan Page fans. By setting up a new tab on the fan page, and having fan page members "claim" the coupon would have been the way to go with this campaign. Because after you claim the coupon, you will be asked to publish this action to your news feed and distribute the campaign virally!

In conclusion, I commend Noah's for jumping into the social media world. But I would also like to show them the ways of a successful social media marketing campaign.
