In my previous few post I have given you ideas of how to leverage your events/give-aways into more fans. Hopefully you have had a chance to implement one of these campaigns to get new fans.
Now that you have a larger fan base, how will you engage them? You want to keep your fans interested and waiting for your next post. Here are some ways to do this:
Engaging Videos: Post videos to your profile that relates to your Fan Page. Personally, I am a fan of the San Diego Chargers and every week after the game on Sundays, the Chargers update their fans with a video highlight of the last weeks game. Below is an example:
Questions/Polls: In the case of the San Diego Chargers, they often ask which Charger had the best game or who the Chargers MVP is. This type of content yields high results. Lots of interactions with fans and is very engaging.
Live Updates : Live updates is a great way to keep in touch with your Fan base on a daily basis. Ski Resorts do a good job of utilizing this feature. When a storm hits a mountain, they update their status and their fans are the first to know! Fans are very appreciative of this type of update on their Facebook News Feed.
Events: Posting an event to you Fan Page gets your fans involved. As a business/event you will also have a better idea of how many people you expect to attend your event. Fans can post picture from last years event, comment on the wall or even invite friends!
3rd Party News Articles: Online news articles that are relevant to your Fan Page are a great way to inform and and engage your fans. The San Diego Union Tribune posts some of their most popular and controversial articles to their Facebook Fan Page daily!
These updates need to be done daily to ensure your fans are satisfied and consume and interact with your Fan Page. The more your fans interact, the more your fans will view your brand in a positive way.
